1st Annual Car Show
On June 12, 2021, You could hear more than 55 vehicles revving their motors as they pulled into the First Baptist Church for the 1st annual Operation Blessing Car Show. It was the most fun I have had since 2020. It was worth the wait. We had Food, Door Prizes, “Spike” from the Cleburne Railroaders and live music. We gave out trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Truck, Cars pre-60 and Cars post-60.
Our volunteers showed up at 7:30 am and helped turn the parking lot into a show room of cars. They started grilling and serving the hot dogs in time for the band to get all warmed up. When Spike showed up, the kids were ecstatic. The band only took breaks long enough to pass out the door prizes and awards. Then, in just a matter of minutes, the show room was a parking lot again.
We had a great time. Thank you for all who made our event a success, especially Rick and Toni Olson who organized the event and passed out countless flyers and all of the businesses in Cleburne and Burleson that donated food and door prizes. Our 1st annual Car Show has opened the door for another car show next year.
